I figured that it was about time that I write up another journal; though I don't have much to talk about right now, so I'll keep this one short.

Okay, as some of you may already know, I've been working on a few models for use in ComiPo, many of which are for rooms and scenes.
As I can only work on one model at a time, I can't guarantee as to when they will be finished; I also run into dead ends where I wont know the best way to advance with them; so, I'm going to try and post a few model related updates in my journal from time to time.
I might also ask for an opinion on occasion when I'm undecided on something.

Question:
Regarding the subway station model: should I make it so that it has a platform on both sides of the track, or just one?
When I first started working on it, the model had only one platform; but then I removed the wall, copied and flipped it to the other side, making two platforms, putting the train in between them.
But when I looked at Google Image Search for references, though there are two sided train platforms in subways, the majority of them seem to be just one; so should I remove the other side and change it back?

Yes, and no. You can make a model with only one side for when people need that one, but also a "normal" model that has the usual. Otherwise, just stick to the most common type, I know that I like realism when I want to do drama, and personally wouldn't find a use for a double-platform since I've never seen one.

Of course, I wouldn't use a subway at all in a fantasy setting or futuristic... Mostly because I imagine everything in those two genre's to be floating/flying. I intend to make a flying chariot or boat or something for one of my stories... It'll probably look awful, but it's what I would imagine.

Other people might appreciate a double-platform for a roomy battle scene, maybe. I just don't see the use of one myself.
